The bathroom vanity industry, a relatively new sector arising from the intersection of the furniture and bathroom fixture industries, has a history of over 20 years in China, starting relatively late but developing rapidly.
Material evolution has progressed from early wooden and glass vanities to PVC, aluminum, and finally stainless steel vanities. Each material's emergence addressed the problems encountered by the previous ones.
In terms of style, European antique-style bathroom vanities appeared around 2004, peaking between 2011 and 2017. American style emerged in 2004, peaking between 2014 and 2015. Neo-Chinese style appeared in 2015. In 2016, more minimalist and fashionable Nordic and Italian styles entered the market.
